Summary of Job Purpose: Installs, repairs, and provides technical support for Brookhaven School District computers, peripherals, networks, and the users.
Requirements:
- Minimum of an associate degree in computer/network related field
- Experience in the listed responsibilities
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment with a team as well as work independently
- Have good communication skills
- Prior experience working with computers, equipment, networks and software
- The following certifications would be beneficial: CompTIA certifications (A+, Network+, Security+), Apple, Cisco
Responsibilities:
- Work with the Director of Technology and other technicians to plan and maintain network, equipment, technology policies, hardware, software,
- Provides technical support and training to staff
- Respond to technology request tickets and make sure request records are up-to-date.
- Install/maintain/troubleshoot/repair all technology including hardware, software, peripherals (smartboards, projectors, document cameras, printers)
- Install /maintain/troubleshoot/repair network hardware and wireless networks
- Have knowledge of TCP/IP usage
- Have knowledge of routing and switching
- Assist with administration of network directory service including user accounts and network
- Participate in continuing education in effort to stay current with district
